NH Child Care Provider CPR & First Aid
By learning how to properly perform CPR, you can help buy time until medical assistance arrives in an emergency. So the answer is simple to why learning CPR: CPR saves lives! Perhaps not everyone knows that many cardiac arrests occur in the home or in places where a doctor is not usually present. That means it's critical to acquire CPR and first aid skills to be ready anytime, anywhere.
This CPR/AED course uses the latest ECC update to prepare students to handle respiratory and cardiac emergencies, particularly sudden cardiac arrest. Specifically, students will have the opportunity to become familiar with recognizing cardiac arrest, using cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and using an automated external defibrillator (AED). Not only that, students will learn how to properly use a pocket mask and bag valve mask to perform emergency rescue breaths. Finally, you will learn about the signs, symptoms and proper response of an adult choking and stroke victim.
The term "first aid" refers to all those timely actions intended to help people who find themselves in situations of difficulty or danger to their health while waiting for qualified help to arrive.
The techniques you practice will cover adult, child, and infant skills in 1 person CPR, conscious choking, unconscious choking, AED, and First Aid. In addition our First Aid courses for child care providers include adult and/or pediatric CPR/AED training.
